Sagaci Research is seeking an experienced Business Unit Director who will be responsible for leading the relationships with key accounts clients, as well as for developing opportunities for new business with leading players operating on the African continent. The Business Unit Director will report directly to the Managing Director.


Responsibilities

  • Taking charge of business development by reaching out to prospects, pitching clients, creating marketing materials, and creating presentations for strategic pitches
  • Responding to calls for tenders and writing effective business proposals, convincing clients that our studies meet their needs and expectations
  • Taking charge of quantitative and qualitative studies and guiding our research teams during the studies, while keeping the client’s objectives in mind in every step of the process.
  • Being in contact with the client during the studies to ensure the smooth execution of the studies and to deliver the expected deliverables on time
  • Ensuring that standards and processes are maintained during the production of studies
  • Guiding the research teams during the analysis and writing of reports
  • Adding value to the various projects by writing recommendations and recommendations through reports and presentations
  • Presenting the results to the clients and helping them maximize the value of their investments by discussing with them
  • Supporting business growth as a spokesperson on consumer topics


Profile

  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience either in a market research agency-side role or in a senior marketing role for an FMCG manufacturer
  • Experience in running research projects, ideally in an FMCG environment
  • Experience in working on brand health trackers, concept/ad tests, campaign evaluations, U&A studies,...
  • Strong people management and motivational skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to problem solve and provide advanced data analysis in an ambiguous environment
  • Capacity to work both independently and under close supervision
  • Excellent verbal & written English (native speaker)
  • French fluency or reading proficiency would be an asset
